We haven't had an attack in five years. The perception of the threat is so low in this society that it's not surprising that the behavior pattern reflects a low threat assessment. The same thing's in Europe, there's a low threat perception. The correction for that, I suppose, is an attack. And when that happens, then everyone gets energized for another [inaudible] and it's a shame we don't have the maturity to recognize the seriousness of the threats...the lethality, the carnage, that can be imposed on our society is so real and so present and so serious that you'd think we'd be able to understand it, but as a society, the longer you get away from 9/11, the less...the less...”

-former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, 2006
Suggesting that the United States, having voted the Democrats back into Congressional power, could benefit from another terrorist attack.

The resound “shock-and-awe” of 21st century United States politics is that of the people of the U.S. in reactive resentment against the arrogance, cruelty, and “evil” nature of the Bush Administrations Executive global misconduct and overall dismantling of the constitutional role of the Presidency. Rumsfeld’s telling remark, which since has only ignited conspiracy theories, reveals a more basic, primordial instinct within the most powerful, elite group that is not generally assumed to be within the psychology of an autonomous “leader of the free world.” But what is undercover, concealed from the herd’s moral perception is the primordial instinct to react fearfully and/or aggressively against any perceived threat, the insurmountable enemies of what we stand for (what is it that we stand for again, and who is “we” anymore?), the communists that will nuke us, or how about the “evil” terrorists that might have some relation to the events of 9/11/2001. the sort of feeling that tinges in the amygdale of after a predator attacks the herd. But morality blinds: it hides what is one dimensional behind two dimensions (or more). There’s something actually historical, perhaps genealogical going on here, an actual division of values between the herd of Western nation and the global elites

This is what soldiers have to go through

Thanks to you who supported the Iraq War II. Construction companies would hire more people for large scale military facilities commissioned within Iran and Defense Contractors would be receiving new contracts for the necessary hardware to carry out an invasion of a country much larger than Iraq. If a second large scale nation building attempt is already under way, which appears to be the case, than why not find which companies will have their 3rd or 4th quarter revenue boosted this year by another war? Whether or not you would be for or against a military invasion of the largest Democracy in the Middle East, there is no doubt there will be money to make.
It's no secret which companies profit directly from military build up and strategical attacks. If every American who can trade stock, roughly 30% of us, were to preemptively purchase 100-1000 or so shares of stock well diversified in a War Profiteer Index and sell our shares collectively once we become dissatisfied with the progress of the war we would literally be voting with our dollars. This could force the the privatized military sector to pay us all our shares which would drain their funds and potentially cripple their operations. I propose a solution for the terribly inefficient war market; A Preemptive Invasion Mutual Fund with holdings diversified in oil, defense, and construction companies. Even if the majority of funding for these corporations comes directly from the Federal Government, there is still the possibility for domestic and even foreign markets to have direct financial control over them. The $1.2 trillion spent so far on the Iraq war is only half of Fidelity Investment's $3 trillion in assets.

Rupert Murdoch makes bid for The Wall Street Journal $5 Billion!

Right wing hero Rupert Murdoch has taken one giant leap forward in media synergy by making a $5 Billion bid for the ever so valuable Wall Street Journal!

The Wall Street Journal will be a much needed addition to the current holdings of NewsCorporation which is currently lacking in it's holdings. Just think; if handicapped people were in charge of national security they would of course be on the defense, not the offense, allowing the terrorists to win! During Giuliani's term as major of New York City, the police department even arrested and convicted panhandlers under laws already declared unconstitutional 10 years prior, and it is measures like this which can make this country safe. The constitution is just a piece of paper, right? And it was printed on hemp so obviously our forefathers must have been a little high when revising it so thank God we have men like Rudolph Giuliani and George W. Bush to make the necessary corrections.

What could $1.2 trillion buy? I should add that this graph leaves out one very important option for that money, a war with Iran. We already have our troops surrounding the country so it might even cost less, and if any of that money goes back into the same heroic war corporations as it did in 2003, we might all have another chance to ride that stock market train of success by investing in them!

via The Liberal Media (The New York Times)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://iranfromiraq.blogspot.com/2007/05/what-could-12-trillion-buy-very.html' title='What could $1.2 trillion buy? What can we learn from this? Basically that if your looking into a future of war profiteering which is and always has been very lucrative, your in luck! During this time there was a sudden demand for specialized services to fulfill the needs of the U.S. Government's wartime activities and this demand could be supplied by certain U.S. Defense and construction companies. Since part of the plan was to use Iraq's own oil revenue to rebuild itself after Operation Iraqi Freedom, our major oil companies and our Allies' would do their part accordingly and help out in the process. For their valiant efforts they might have even received some added benefits from that much needed help that they supplied us with!

As a U.S. citizen you are entitled to not only political but economic democracy as well and encouraged to own shares of stock in our beloved U.S. cooperations to further our nation's sense of Capitalistic Democracy. Since operation Iraqi Freedom was of course intended to benefit us all, Americans had and still do have an opportunity to actively participate in this spirit of financial independence bundled free with the War on Terror.

To demonstrate this, here are some simple charts showing just the stock prices of some 10 major cooperations involved in military contracting, construction, and Oil production from before 2003 to the present.

Construction Companies:
Halliburton and Caterpillar

Oil Companies:
Exxon Mobile, Chevron, Shell, and British Petroleum

Defense Contractors:
Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Rockwell Collins, and General Dynamics

Wow! These companies seem to have performed very well after from March 2003 even till today as we continue to stay the course in Oil War II. But it is quite the shame that I hadn't heard from anyone I know personally making any good returns over the last few years investing with any of these companies. It would be nice to get a cut of this wouldn't it? Maybe it's not too late, and maybe, just maybe there will be another opportunity for these types of returns, and maybe it will happen this year!

Perhaps the perfect exit strategy from Iraq is just shifting operations towards the East, and marching into Iran. I guess you would need an entrance strategy for this plan. Oil War III, just think of the potential earnings! Remember that war creates all sorts of booms, but in the least I would pray it would give these brave companies the same percentage gains that they received during Oil war II.
